MIDI drums and soft synths are tools that I use in a large majority of my productions.
I also think AI can be an amazing tool to help supplement the production process.
The problem is that the overabundance of these out-of-the-box, “quick fix” solutions is causing a mindset shift in the home recording community at large.
People are looking for shortcuts more than ever due to all of the marketing gimmickry that these companies bombard us with. This frustrates me because I see it stopping so many musicians from achieving the professional results that we all want for our music.
In reality, audio production should not be complicated. It’s actually pretty simple when you focus on the right things consistently (which is something you can’t buy in plugin form).
