Most producers today are surrounded by information.
YouTube tutorials.
Mixing courses.
Endless plug-ins and gear recommendations.
But despite all of that, many still struggle to get their productions to sound the way they want.
Not because they’re lazy or untalented.
But because no one is actually listening to their work and showing them what’s wrong.
You can watch tutorials for years…
But until someone hears your mix and points out the issues, it’s easy to stay stuck.
That’s exactly why the Hive exists.
You need a trained ear to listening to your mixes because you’re so IN it.
You need people who will highlight your brilliance AND push you to be better.
You need a hive of people who get it.
Welcome to The Elite Production Hive.
Working with Bobby helped me simplify the process and build a strong foundation. I’ve gained more knowledge in the last year than I did in the previous three years on my own.”
Paxton Campbell
Hive Member
Over the last year and a half, my production skills have evolved tremendously. I’m finally creating mixes I feel confident and proud of…productions that sound powerful and professional.”

Each week we meet live on Zoom for a one-hour coaching session.
During each session, one member takes what we call a hot seat.
We open their session, listen to the mix, and work through the production together in real time.
That might mean:
Everyone else in the group participates in the conversation, asks questions, and learns from the process.
Even when it’s not your hot seat, you’re still learning from real mixes and real problems being solved.
This means every session delivers practical insight you can immediately apply to your own productions.
Here are some examples of breakthroughs made during recent hot seats:
The hot seat sessions and feedback from the group help you hear things you missed and push your productions to the next level. It’s helped me develop my ear, make faster decisions, and move forward with confidence.”
Michael Smith
Hive Member
You also get input from the entire group, so you’re able to pick everyone’s brain while Bobby guides the process. It’s honestly the best tool I’ve had for taking my mixes to the next level.”

And just as importantly…
You’ll stop trying to figure everything out alone, with your hive community supporting you through every production decision you make.
Working with Bobby and the group has been incredibly encouraging, and there’s a huge amount of experience being shared. It’s helped me learn what I’m doing and move toward making my music sound truly professional.”
Ryan Russel

Bobby helped me understand the fundamentals in a way I hadn’t seen anywhere else. Now I’m getting consistent mixes and making creative decisions instead of constantly fixing problems.”

You’ll thrive inside the Hive if:
If you’re looking for quick-fix templates or shortcuts…
This probably isn’t the right fit.
But if you’re serious about improving your productions and understanding what you’re doing…
You’ll feel right at home.
Working with Bobby helped me understand the entire production process…not just mixing, but how and why everything works together.”
Jordan Hanely
Producer / Musician
Instead of chasing plugins or gear, he trained my ears to actually hear problems and fix them in a straightforward way. My mixes now translate better, my workflow is faster, and I feel far more confident delivering professional results.”
Andrew Moore
Mix Engineer
Each Hive group is capped at 12 members.
That small size allows everyone to participate, ask questions, and receive meaningful feedback…
It allows you to have multiple hot seat sessions, where we can focus on you and YOUR work specifically. You have direct feedback from me and the other members of the group.
From day one, the group is a place where you can:
Many members stay for multiple years because the weekly sessions become part of their creative routine.
Even when it’s not your hot seat, you see problems diagnosed that you might not even realize you’re having. It’s like getting a ton of real-world mixing mileage every week.”
Rick Vance
Owner, Apline Audio Works
You learn from everyone’s workflows and experiences, and the environment is fun, relaxed, and incredibly motivating.”

Producer / Musician
Hey, I’m Bobby!
I’ve been producing and mixing music professionally for over 20 years, almost entirely inside small, budget-friendly project studios. No giant commercial rooms, no million-dollar gear lists… just figuring out how to make records sound great with the tools I had.
These days I run Frightbox Recording, where I help home studio producers improve their mixes and productions. If you follow my YouTube channel, you’ve probably seen me talk a lot about keeping things simple, focusing on fundamentals, and avoiding the endless plugin rabbit hole.
I’m also currently building a studio at my house (which seems to be taking forever…if you’ve seen the updates on my YouTube channel, you know exactly what I mean!).
The reason I created The Elite Production Hive is simple:
It’s the program I wish existed when I was starting out.
When I was learning to mix, most of my progress came through YEARS of trial and error…trying things, second-guessing myself, and hoping I was moving in the right direction.
What I really needed back then was consistent, real-time feedback from someone who knew what they were doing.
That’s exactly what the Hive is designed to provide.
Each week we jump on a call, rotate through hot seats, and dig into members’ productions and mixes in real time. I’m able to pull up the tracks, identify what’s actually holding things back, and help you fix it right there on the spot.
It’s a much deeper level of coaching than I’m able to do in my other programs, and honestly, it’s one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
Watching members improve over time, gain confidence in their productions, and finally start finishing music they’re proud of is exactly why this mastermind exists.
If you’re someone who’s serious about improving and ready to put the work in, I’d love to see you inside.
— Bobby
Spots are limited to 12 producers per group and only open when space becomes available.
If you’d like to join the next group, the first step is to submit a short application.

Monthly payment plans available
That breaks down to about $80/week for live coaching, real-time mix feedback, and direct access to a working professional engineer and a group of serious producers.
For context, a single hour of private mix consultation typically runs $400+. Inside the Hive, you’re getting that level of feedback every week, plus everything you absorb from other members’ hot seats.
If you’ve ever spent money on a plugin, a course, or a piece of gear that didn’t actually move your productions forward… this is the thing that does.

The Hive meets once per week for a one-hour live Zoom session.
Each session includes a rotating hot seat where one member presents their work and we walk through their mix or production together.
Everyone in the group participates in the discussion and learns from the process.
Even when it’s not your hot seat, you’ll still learn a tremendous amount because you’ll be involved in the conversation every week as well.
Watching real mixes being diagnosed and improved in real time often reveals issues you may be having in your own productions.
Many members say they learn just as much from other hot seats as they do from their own.
Not necessarily.
Members range from serious hobbyists to producers working with clients.
The most important thing is that you’re actively creating music and open to feedback.
If you’re committed to improving your productions and learning the process more deeply, you’ll likely benefit from the Hive.
Any DAW is fine.
The concepts we discuss apply across all platforms, and members currently use a wide range of DAWs including Pro Tools, Logic, Reaper, Studio One, and others.
Membership is offered in two options:
Most members stay for several years or longer because the weekly sessions help build momentum and consistent improvement.
Each Hive group is capped at 12 members.
Keeping the group small allows everyone to participate, ask questions, and receive meaningful feedback during sessions.
Replays of every meeting are uploaded and can be watched be watched by members at a later date. This is helpful in the event that you’d like to re-watch your hotseat session or review topics covered in weeks prior.
After submitting your application, I’ll review it personally.
If I feel that you might be a good fit, I will reach out to you to schedule a short 15-minute call where I can learn more about you, your music, and your goals.
If I feel that you’re the right fit after the call, I will send you a payment link where you can join the program.
Since joining, my confidence has grown tremendously. My mixes are now much closer to what I hear in my head and competitive with real releases.”

Before joining, I didn’t have structure or clarity on how to move forward. Working with Bobby helped me build real skills, and I’ve made serious progress in my production quality and workflow since then.”
